Link's Lovable Companions

Throughout some of the Zelda titles our hero, Link, has come across many animals and objects that have accompanied him on his quests to save Princess Zelda. But which one of these companions are you more fond of? Well before you make your decision here are just some of the companions that come from the top of our head. When you have finally made your decision just leave a comment down below, you'll be surprised as to which ones people like the most.

Epona
A lovable horse that made her first appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and has made playable appearances in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. Epona has also made some unplayable appearances in The Minish Cap, Four Swords Adventures, and Oracle of Ages/Seasons. Many people just turned on their game just so they could ride Epona all around Hyrule. It gave Zelda players an experience that they had never felt before.

The King of Red Lions
Not only was he your means of transportation in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, but he was also your guide throughout the game. There were some cool little unique things you could do with him that were never before seen in a Zelda game. You could get upgrades that allowed you to shoot bombs from a cannon and also use a grapple hook to find hidden treasure under the water. It's fair to say that you wouldn't be able to beat The Wind Waker if it wasn't for your trusty red boat.

Crimson Loftwing
The majestic red bird that we were all just introduced to. We know that some of you still haven't played The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but we still felt the need to include it in this list. Being the newest companion he definitely feels right for the Zelda franchise. If I would have to describe it I would describe it as The King of Red Lions, but in the air. The only other difference between water and air is that this bird can't talk to you. We haven't got too far into the game, but we're pretty sure that you wont be able to attach any bomb cannons to this thing.

Dimitri, Moosh, and Ricky
These last three companions are all found in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, personally two of my favorite Zelda games of all time. They could each be talked about individually, but due to their small role in the Zelda franchise we decided to put them all in one package, but by all means select the one that you like the most. Dimitri the dodongo, Moosh the bear, and Ricky the kangaroo, all were really fun to use, and to this day we would love to see them included in a future Zelda game release.

If I had to pick my favorite companion from this list I would have to go with Epona. I know that it seems generic, and that most people would do the same, but I just have a fond love for horses. I don't know what Chris would say about this, but hopefully he leaves a comment down below as well. I just love the vast land that you can explore with Epona, and it just feels natural. The boat and the bird are great too, but I just feel like I can't personally relate to that means of transportation. But if riding on the Crimson Loftwing is anything like being in a jet airplane then count me in!

The question for you now is, who is your favorite companion for transportation for Link? Leave a comment down below who it is and how you feel that way. Don't get too heated down below, because many people will have different opinions. Hope you have a great day, and you have just been ChrisCrossed!
